19-Year-Old Kicks Two Minors in Bontoc; Legal Action Possible

Authorities have apprehended a 19-year-old out-of-school youth after allegedly kicking two minors in front of the Sta. Rita Cathedral De Cascia in Bontoc, Mt. Province on the afternoon of April 8, 2025.

According to a report from the Bontoc Municipal Police Station, the victims are aged 16 and 14.

Initial police investigation revealed that the two minors were sitting on the sidewalk when the suspect suddenly approached and kicked them without warning.

The motive behind the unprovoked attack remains unclear.

The victims were immediately brought to a hospital for medical evaluation and are scheduled to undergo counseling on April 10 to address any emotional and psychological distress.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine the reason behind the suspect’s aggressive behavior.

It is now up to the victims’ families whether they will file formal complaints against the suspect.

Meanwhile, the police urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to ensure the safety of all residents, especially the youth in the community.
