1,200 Fishermen, Farmers, and More Receive Aid from DSWD-AKAP Program

Senator Lito Lapid, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), distributed financial aid through the Ayuda sa mga Kapus ang Kita Program (AKAP) in Polomolok, South Cotabato on the morning of October 10.

Through Lapid’s initiative, around 1,000 beneficiaries in Polomolok received assistance.

The beneficiaries included farmers, fishermen, senior citizens, tricycle drivers, and students.

In his message, Lapid expressed hope that the aid would help address their immediate needs.

Lapid also promised to return to Mindanao to extend more help to impoverished sectors of society.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Lapid for the timely assistance, especially amid the current inflation crisis.

Earlier, 200 beneficiaries in General Santos City received aid on October 9.

Through the efforts of Senator Lapid and General Santos Congressman Ton Acharon, the beneficiaries received P5,000 each from the DSWD.
