Yellow Warning Level Raised in Mindoro and Palawan Amidst Heavy Rains

As of 11:00 AM today, PAGASA has issued a Yellow Warning Level for areas in Occidental Mindoro and Palawan due to the intensified effects of the Southwest Monsoon. Residents in the affected areas, including Santa Cruz, San Jose, Sablayan, Rizal, Paluan, Mamburao, Magsaysay, Lubang, Looc, Calintaan, and Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro, as well as Coron, Busuanga, and Culion in Palawan, should be on high alert.

According to radar data, heavy rainfall is ongoing, increasing the possibility of flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous regions. The public is strongly advised to monitor the weather closely and take necessary precautions.

The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has urged residents to stay updated on further developments. The next advisory will be released at 2:00 PM.
