Wing Van Collision in Leganes, Iloilo Leaves One Dead, Three Injured

A fatal collision between a wing van and a mixer truck occurred in Barangay Calaboa, Leganes, Iloilo, resulting in one death and three injuries. The incident happened on [Date] at [Time].

The wing van, carrying three passengers, was traveling from Zarraga, Iloilo, towards the city when its tire exploded. The driver lost control and collided with an oncoming mixer truck.

One of the wing van passengers, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead on arrival at the West Visayas State University – Medical Center. The victim sustained severe head injuries and a fractured skull due to being trapped in the vehicle.

Three other individuals, including the wing van driver, Ryan Ramos, and passengers Jomar Sonza and Niño Miranda, were injured in the collision and transported to the hospital for treatment.

The mixer truck driver, Fermin Gamarcha, was also involved in the accident.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision and are examining the possibility of excessive speed on the part of the wing van driver. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the impact.
