VICE President Sara Duterte on Sunday dismissed social media rumors claiming her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, was found unconscious in his International Criminal Court (ICC) cell in The Hague, Netherlands.

“That’s not true, nothing like that happened. He even said it might have been a prank by some of my supporters,” she said during a pre-dawn run in Davao City.

The vice president also expressed optimism about their ongoing appeal before the ICC for her father’s interim release.

“We hope to hear positive news during the public hearing on his interim release appeal on November 28. If not, the family will continue to support him during his stay in The Hague and will keep working closely with his defense team regarding his legal case,” she added.

During the “Run for Du30” event, Duterte addressed supporters, saying, “On behalf of the family, we thank you for your prayers and continued support for former President Rodrigo Duterte.”

She also led the countdown and fired the starting signal for the run, which saw over 5,000 participants.
