Tragedy at Lingayen Beach: Body of Missing Woman Found Buried in Sand

DAGUPAN CITY – The local government of Lingayen expressed deep sorrow following the discovery of a woman’s body along the capitol beachfront shoreline.

The woman, reported missing since September 23, was found buried in the sand at Lingayen Baywalk after volleyball players accidentally stepped on the body.

Lingayen Police received the report late last night, promptly responding to the scene where they confirmed the presence of a human body partially covered in sand.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Dagupan, Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil lamented the tragic incident, noting that the victim, a young woman, had fallen prey to violence.

According to the mayor, the local government had immediately mobilized a search and issued a missing person notice after the woman was first reported missing.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts, she was found lifeless.

The investigation is currently ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Mayor Bataoil urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
