After landfall, Uwan will cross the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon, weaken significantly, but remain a typhoon as it emerges over Lingayen Gulf or the coastal waters of Pangasinan or La Union.

By Tuesday, Uwan is forecast to turn northwestward to northward while maintaining typhoon strength, then move toward the Taiwan Strait by Wednesday, make landfall in western Taiwan on Thursday, and weaken rapidly before dissipating near the Ryukyu Islands.

Authorities advised the public and disaster risk reduction offices to take all necessary precautions, follow evacuation orders, and monitor official advisories for updates.
