Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-Wong) has intensified further, prompting PAGASA to raise Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 in parts of Bicol and Quezon as the storm nears landfall.
As of 8:00 AM, Sunday, November 9, 2025, the typhoon’s eye was located 125 kilometers east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes, moving west-northwest at 25 kilometers per hour.
Uwan is packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 230 kilometers per hour, with typhoon-force winds extending outward up to 800 kilometers.

Super Typhoon Uwan is forecast to make landfall over Aurora late Sunday evening or early Monday morning, then cross Northern Luzon before exiting into the West Philippine Sea.
