Student Dies in Motorcycle-Tricycle Collision

A motorcycle rider was killed after a collision with an oncoming tricycle along the Bypass Road in Barangay Bonfal Proper, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

According to PCapt. Junia Bogbog, spokesperson of the Bayombong Police Station, the victim was identified as DJ Hulinga, an adult student and resident of Barangay Roxas, Solano, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The tricycle driver involved in the accident was identified as Mc Bryan Alvarez, a resident of Barangay Magsaysay, Nueva Vizcaya.

Initial police investigation revealed that both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when Hulinga’s motorcycle swerved into the opposite lane, resulting in the collision.

Due to the impact, Hulinga sustained severe injuries that led to his death, while three of the four passengers in the tricycle, including the driver and a seven-year-old child, also sustained injuries.

The injured were immediately rushed to Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center for treatment.
