THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) revealed on Wednesday that Allan Lim, a known drug personality, is a close friend of Senator Bong Go.

During his presentation at the House Quad Committee’s inquiry into Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) and their connection to illegal drugs, PDEA Deputy Director General Renato Gumban stated that Lim, who is also an incorporator of the Pharmally Corporation—responsible for a P11 billion government contract for COVID-19 supplies during the Duterte administration—has been involved in drug-related activities.

“According to our informant, Allan Lim is a close friend of then-Special Assistant to the President Christopher ‘Bong’ Go. Lim is linked to the kidnapping and drug trafficking in Cavite, although these cases were dismissed in 2015,” Gumban said.

PDEA Chief Moro Lazo also testified that Lim, known by multiple aliases, including Lin Wei Xiong, is connected to drug trafficking and other criminal activities.

Lazo noted that an informant had shared this information with PDEA prior to the presentation of police Colonel Eduardo Acierto to the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs.

In his report from 2017, Colonel Acierto had previously accused Go and former President Duterte of having ties to Lim, alleging that they had protected him despite the allegations against him.

Lazo confirmed that Lim also goes by several names, including Jeffrey Lin, Ayong, and Wen Li Chen, which have been corroborated by statements presented before the QuadComm.

Lim’s criminal history includes a 2004 arrest for his involvement in a shabu (methamphetamine) laboratory in Tagaytay.
