PBBM Removes PTFoMS Chief Paul Gutierrez Following Term Expiration

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has removed Paul Gutierrez, head of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS), following the expiration of his term.

In a letter addressed to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed that Gutierrez’s tenure had officially ended.

The letter, dated September 12, was publicly released by Malacañang today, emphasizing that the expiration of Gutierrez’s tenure is effective immediately.

Gutierrez was appointed by President Marcos Jr. to lead the PTFoMS in May 2023. His removal marks the end of his brief leadership at the task force responsible for ensuring the safety of media practitioners in the Philippines.
