President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. spearheaded the distribution of 69 ambulances across Region 1, coinciding with the celebration of the 107th birth anniversary of his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., today, September 11.
A total of 69 ambulances were handed over, with 12 allocated to the towns of Paoay, Carasi, Vintar, Pinili, Dumalneg, Sarrat, Badoc, Nueva Era, Pasuquin, Solsona, Batac City, and Laoag City.
Additionally, 17 ambulances were provided to the province of Ilocos Sur, 8 to La Union, and 32 to Pangasinan, with each ambulance valued at over P2 million.
The President was accompanied by his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and their three sons: Ferdinand Alexander Araneta Marcos, Joseph Simon Araneta Marcos, and William Vincent Araneta Marcos.
A Thanksgiving Mass was attended by Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc, Mayor Michael Marcos Keon, Mayor Albert Chua, and other provincial officials.
Following the mass, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Ferdinand Marcos Sr. Monument, the seventh Rice Paddy Art was unveiled at the Mariano Marcos State University, featuring the likeness of Senator Imee Marcos, and a simple program was conducted in Ilocandia.
Meanwhile, Senator Imee Marcos shared how her father’s legacy helped many Filipinos throughout the years.
