The Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Pasig City has issued an alias warrant of arrest against fugitive and controversial pastor Apollo Quiboloy in connection with his ongoing human trafficking case.

An alias warrant of arrest is typically issued when an original arrest order has not been served, usually because the individual in question cannot be located by authorities. This allows law enforcement agencies to renew their efforts to apprehend the fugitive, as is the case with Apollo Quiboloy.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing their search for Quiboloy, who is facing charges of sexual abuse and qualified human trafficking.

Apollo Quiboloy is the founder and leader of the religious organization “The Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name,” which claims millions of followers worldwide. Once a prominent figure in religious and political circles, Quiboloy has been embroiled in several controversies over the years, including allegations of exploitation and abuse within his organization.

Quiboloy’s legal troubles escalated in recent years, particularly with allegations of sexual abuse and human trafficking. In 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice indicted him and several of his associates on charges related to a scheme that allegedly involved coercing women and girls into sexual activities under the guise of religious service.

Despite his denials, Quiboloy has evaded arrest, leading to his current status as a fugitive. His continued evasion has prompted authorities to issue an alias warrant, intensifying efforts to bring him to justice.
