Over 10,000 Cops Deployed Nationwide by PNP for Labor Day Protest Security

PNP deployment on Labor Day will involve more than 10,000 police officers nationwide as the Philippine National Police ramps up security amid planned protest actions.

According to the PNP, a total of 10,404 personnel will be stationed throughout Metro Manila and other key locations to monitor and ensure public order during Labor Day demonstrations.

In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo, PNP-Highway Patrol Group (HPG) spokesperson Lt. Dame Malang confirmed that around 680 officers from their unit will be dispatched across major highways nationwide.

These additional HPG personnel will serve as reinforcement for local police units to help guarantee a peaceful and secure Labor Day celebration.

The PNP-HPG also urged rally organizers to adhere to all existing laws and maintain order during their events to avoid any untoward incidents.

Lt. Malang assured the public that their teams are fully prepared to maintain peace and prevent any disruption or harm caused by protests.

She emphasized that ensuring public safety, order, and security is their top priority for this national observance.

The PNP aims for a zero-incident, zero-accident day as the country marks Labor Day with nationwide gatherings and mobilizations.
