Filipino band NOBITA and the country’s Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino are back with a new collaborative single entitled “Gayuma”.

The song, produced by Brian Lotho, is perfect for audiences longing to confess and are afraid to take the first step.

“The lyrics capture the uncertainty—whether what you feel is genuine love or just something that seems magical, almost like a spell,” NOBITA shares in a press statement. “It reflects the theme of secret love because it’s about holding back, wondering if the other person feels the same way, and hoping the emotions are mutual.”

According to the quintet, the demo initially did not include a female collaborator, but they felt that something was missing. After being shelved for a time, the track was revisited and finally given a new sound, with the help of an OPM icon.

“And there’s no one more perfect than Ms. Yeng—we’re just so lucky she agreed,” NOBITA shares. “Our first meeting was very productive. We exchanged ideas on what to add and change from the original track, which eventually shaped the final version of the song.”

Yeng says it was love at first listen. “The whole session, I was tapping into the emotion of falling in love,” she admits. “But once you immerse yourself in that space, you realize it’s hard to control your feelings. That energy guided our process, helping us refine the lyrics and capture the material’s vulnerability.”

The collaboration, out via Sony Music Entertainment, combines a powerful mix: NOBITA’s trademark “hugot” sound and Yeng’s soulful, storytelling vocals.
