One Dead, Ten Injured in Christmas Outing Accident

One family member died while ten others were injured in an accident that occurred around seven o’clock this morning in Davao Mabini, Davao de Oro.

According to initial reports from the police, a family was riding in a pickup truck when, upon reaching Crossing Tagnanan in the municipality of Mabini, Davao de Oro, the vehicle suddenly crashed into the center island after a front tire blew out.

Due to the impact, the vehicle overturned, resulting in the victims being thrown out and the vehicle being damaged. It was reported that 11 individuals were riding in the said vehicle, all of whom were injured, including one fatality.

The victims were reportedly from Barangay Calablab in the municipality of Maco and were on their way to Governor Generoso for a Christmas outing. Police stated that the incident was a self-accident.

The injured are currently being treated at a hospital. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
