The rains, attributed to the southwest monsoon, may trigger flash floods or landslides in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms, also due to the prevailing monsoon winds.

A tropical depression located 2,495 km east northeast of extreme northern Luzon remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The system packs maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gusts up to 70 km/h, moving northwestward at 20 km/h.
