Malacañang has clarified that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s full trust and confidence in Department of Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. remain steadfast.

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez issued the statement following rumors circulating on social media regarding Teodoro’s alleged resignation.

Chavez emphasized that these rumors are shameful attempts to sow discord within an organization united in its mission to protect the citizens and defend the nation’s territory.

Despite being busy with various missions, Chavez stressed that it is necessary to avoid demoralizing political tactics that have no place in their ranks.
