According to PAGASA, Typhoon Uwan (international name Fung-Wong) exited Luzon via La Union before dawn Monday after making landfall in Aurora as a super typhoon on Sunday night.
Uwan has weakened to a typhoon with maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h and gusts of up to 230 km/h, moving west-northwest at 25 km/h over the West Philippine Sea.
Despite weakening, tropical cyclone wind signals remain raised in parts of Luzon and the Visayas, with PAGASA warning of heavy rainfall, floods, landslides, and storm surges exceeding three meters in coastal areas.
