LPA intensifies into Tropical Depression ‘Salome’

THE Low Pressure Area (LPA) spotted near Taiwan has intensified into Tropical Depression “Salome” on Wednesday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

According to PAGASA, “Salome” was last located east of Taiwan as it continued to strengthen over the region.

The state weather bureau said a tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 11 a.m. for further updates on the system’s movement and possible effects.
