Liam Payne’s first posthumous single is set to be released on Friday, November 1.
American musician Sam Pounds revealed that he recorded an unreleased track with the 31-year-old singer before his untimely death on October 16.
The song, entitled “Do No Wrong”, is a collaboration between the late British pop star and the Grammy-winning producer.
“I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed. I pray angels will comfort you all everyday while listening. I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family. I pray that this song eclipses the negative echoes. I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you,” he wrote on X.
Meanwhile, Payne’s hits have significantly resurged in both streaming and music charts following his passing. On October 28, he surpassed 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify. His final single “Teardrops” made its first-ever appearance on the UK singles charts, ranking at #85. Meanwhile, his debut studio album ‘LP1’ returned to the top 100 on the UK albums chart at #62, higher than its original run.
Payne, aged 31, passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
