Kanlaon, nakapagtala ng 29 volcanic earthquakes sa loob ng 24hrs

Nakapagtala ng mga panibagong aktibidad ang Bulkang Kanlaon batay sa naging 24hr monitoring ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

Batay sa datos na inilabas ng PHIVOLCS, nagkaroon ng 29 na pagyanaig ng bulkan na nagtagal ng halos 8minuto habang dalawang beses naman nakapagbuga ito ng abo na tumagal din ng 4 hanggang 8 minuto.

Nakapagtala rin ng walang patid na pagsingaw,panaka-nakang pag-abo at pagbuga ang bulkan na nasa 1500 metrong taas na siya namang napadpad sa kanluran at kanlurang-hilagang bahagi.

Samnatala, nananatiling nakataas ang Alert Level 3 sa bulkan kung saaan nananatili pa ring pinagiingat ang mga residente sa mga maaaring biglaang pagsabog, pagbubuga nito ng lava, pag-ulan ng abo, rockfall at pagdaloy ng lahar kung may mlalakas na pagulan.

Patuloy na nakabantay ang PHIVOLCS sa mga aktibidad ng Kanlaon at nananatiling nagchecheck ng mga aktibidad nito.
