LONDON, UK — British pop star Jessie J has revealed she recently underwent surgery for early-stage breast cancer and is now recovering at home while awaiting test results.

In an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, the “Price Tag” singer shared photos and videos documenting the last 48 hours, including scenes from her hospital stay. “This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours,” Jessie wrote. She expressed gratitude to her medical team, friends, and family for their unwavering support during the procedure.

The 36-year-old singer had previously announced her diagnosis earlier this month, revealing that the surgery was a preventive step after discovering she was in the early stages of breast cancer.

“I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through,” Jessie added in her post. “Grateful to my doctor/surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family/friends who came to visit.”

She ended her update with a message of encouragement to others facing personal battles: “Keep fighting whatever you’re facing.”
