Former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has been cited in contempt once more by the quad committee, and has been ordered to remain in detention at the House of Representatives until the submission of documents covered by a subpoena issued by the committee.
The motion filed by Bukidnon 2nd District Representative Jonathan Keith Flores was approved by Surigao del Norte Representative Ace Barbers during today’s quad committee hearing.
Flores stated in his motion that Roque’s contempt status will only be lifted once the requested documents are submitted.
It will be recalled that Roque was previously detained last month for allegedly lying to the same committee and for failing to attend a prior hearing in Pampanga.
This matter is related to the ongoing investigation into extrajudicial killings that occurred during the Duterte Administration.
The quad committee is composed of the House Committees on Dangerous Drugs, Public Order and Safety, Human Rights, and Public Accounts.
