House Concludes 2026 National Budget Deliberations; P6.793T Proposal Moves Forward

The House of Representatives has officially concluded its deliberations and sponsorship hearings for the 2026 national budget.

The final session, which tackled the special purpose fund or lump sum allocations, ended past midnight on October 3.

The proposed national budget for 2026 amounts to a total of P6.793 trillion.

Deliberations began on September 22, covering the budget proposals of various government agencies.

The period for amendments to House Bill 4058, also known as the 2026 General Appropriations Bill (GAB), is scheduled to begin on October 10.

The House aims to pass the GAB on third and final reading by October 13.
