House Approves P6.352-Trillion National Budget for 2025

The House of Representatives has approved the P6.352-trillion national budget for 2025. This approval came a day after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. certified the budget as urgent.

A total of 285 lawmakers voted in favor of House Bill 10800, also known as “An Act Appropriating Funds for the Operation of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines,” while three lawmakers voted against it.

In his speech, House Speaker Ferdinand Romualdez thanked his fellow legislators for passing the budget.

He emphasized the importance of the budget in funding key government projects, including infrastructure, human and social development, environmental protection, technological innovations, and sustainable development.
