Senator Risa Hontiveros suspects that key players from Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (Pogo) aided Atty. Harry Roque in leaving the country.

She urged authorities to investigate and hold accountable those who facilitated Roque’s alleged escape.

Reports confirm Roque is currently in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Hontiveros noted that Abu Dhabi is a known Pogo hub, raising concerns over possible Pogo involvement in Roque’s departure.

She emphasized the need for the Bureau of Immigration to explain Roque’s escape, along with Hua Ping’s earlier escape to Indonesia.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) disclosed that Roque might have left the country illegally.

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado stated that no formal records show Roque’s attempt to exit via official channels.

Justice Secretary Raul Vazquez revealed an investigation into whether Roque used a private plane to leave.

Roque faces qualified human trafficking charges linked to Cassandra Li Ong and alleged illegal activities of Pogo hub Lucky South 99 Corp.

He is under an arrest order from the House of Representatives after being cited for contempt for failing to submit documents justifying a sudden increase in his wealth.
