A 50-year-old male suspect, classified as a High-Value Individual, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay T. Alonzo, Baguio City.
The operation was led by the PNP Drug Enforcement Group-SOU CAR, in coordination with PDEA Baguio/Benguet and BCPO Police Station 7.
Authorities seized two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing two grams with an estimated street value of ₱13,600.
Additionally, officers confiscated three more sachets of suspected shabu, weighing three grams and valued at ₱20,400.
The total worth of the seized illegal drugs amounted to ₱34,000.
Police also recovered six pieces of counterfeit ₱500 bills, used as boodle money, along with one genuine ₱500 bill.
Other confiscated items included three sticky papers, one black coin purse, two improvised glass pipes, one Android phone, and another genuine ₱500 bill.
The suspect now faces charges for violating Section 21 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He is currently under the custody of SOU-CAR, while authorities process the case against him.
The Regional Forensic Unit-Cordillera, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet has received the confiscated drugs for qualitative and quantitative examination.
