Guimaras native Mark Aron Martirez achieves double topnotcher success

NOT once, but twice — these words perfectly describe the remarkable success story of Mark Aron Martirez, an alumnus of West Visayas State University in Iloilo City.

Martinez, a resident of Barangay Lawi, Jordan, Guimaras, achieved 8th place in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and previously ranked 6th in the November 2022 Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE).

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Martirez explained that he pursued education units because, aside from being a nurse, he also wanted to help aspiring nurses by teaching them.

He believes that through teaching, he can share knowledge and inspire others to reach their goals.

Martirez shared some of his secrets to passing the board exams and becoming a topnotcher.

These include having faith in God and himself, choosing supportive friends who believed in his success, and selecting a study approach that suited his personality.

Looking ahead, Martirez has set his sights on studying medicine to fulfill his long-time dream of becoming a doctor.

Martirez’s journey is an inspiration to many, showcasing dedication, resilience, and the power of believing in one’s potential.
