Drug Den in Tuguegarao City Dismantled; Three Suspects Arrested

Authorities successfully dismantled a drug den in Tuguegarao City during a coordinated operation in Barangay San Gabriel.

Three individuals were apprehended during the raid, identified by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 02 as alias JV, 37, a resident of Brgy. San Gabriel; alias Cardo, 21, from Brgy. Ugac Sur; and alias Niko, 18, a resident of Brgy. Camasi, Peñablanca, Cagayan.

The operation was launched following verified reports of illegal drug activity, prompting swift coordination between PDEA Region 2 and other concerned law enforcement units for an entrapment operation.

Seized from the suspects were approximately one gram of suspected shabu valued at ₱7,000, around 90 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth ₱10,800, drug paraphernalia, three mobile phones, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA Region 02 was assisted in the successful operation by the PDEA Isabela Provincial Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit 2 (PDEG-SOU2), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 2 (RDEU2), Provincial Drug Enforcement/Provincial Intelligence Unit (PDEU/PIU), RIU2 PIT Cagayan South, 1st CPMFC, and the Tuguegarao City Police Station.
