The DOTR busway improvements aim to enhance commuter experience by installing clear markings, stanchions, and bridgeways in busway stations.

According to Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, during his visit to MRT stations and busway lanes in Metro Manila, he observed the difficulty in distinguishing lines for MRT passengers and bus commuters.

Dizon stated that the department sees bridgeways as a solution to separate busway passengers from MRT commuters, ensuring a smoother queue system and reducing congestion.

He added that clear signage and markings will also be placed to help commuters easily identify the correct boarding areas.

Additionally, separators or stanchions will be installed to streamline passenger lines and improve crowd management.

This initiative is just one of the department’s upcoming projects aimed at enhancing transportation efficiency in Metro Manila.
