Authorities are investigating the death of a doctor found with a gunshot wound inside a parked car in Naga City.
The lifeless body of the victim was discovered on February 16, 2025, inside a vehicle parked in a village in Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City.
The victim was identified as Dr. Rajean Monette Romualdez of Bicol Medical Center.
According to PLTCOL. Chester Pomar, spokesperson of the Naga City Police Office (NCPO), an initial investigation revealed that the victim was in the passenger seat with a gunshot wound on the left side of the head, caused by a .45 caliber pistol.
Authorities have identified a person of interest, the doctor’s live-in partner, after a male suspect was seen exiting the driver’s side of the vehicle before quickly leaving the area.
The local government of Naga City has offered a ₱200,000 reward for anyone who can provide information that could help resolve the case.
Officials assured the public that the identities of informants will be kept confidential and that necessary protection will be provided.
The victim’s family, friends, colleagues, and the management of Bicol Medical Center strongly condemned the crime and called for justice and the swift resolution of the case.
