De Lima Slams Duterte’s Punch Gesture, Calls It Cowardly

Former Senator Leila de Lima has called former President Rodrigo Duterte’s act of threatening to punch her cowardly.

The incident occurred when both attended the Quad Comm hearing at the House of Representatives.

De Lima said she was unaware of Duterte’s action at the time because she was busy responding to questions from lawmakers.

She added that she did not directly see the punch gesture but was informed through a message and later shown a video of the incident.

Upon viewing the footage, De Lima expressed deep hurt, describing Duterte’s behavior as unbecoming and undignified for a former president.
