Legazpi City – Three individuals, including two minors, were rescued by authorities after their vehicle nearly plunged off a cliff in Barangay Batolinao, Baras, Catanduanes.

According to the initial investigation conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Baras, Officer-in-Charge SFO2 Dennis Turado revealed that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing the car to lose control.

The slippery road conditions, due to recent rainfall, further contributed to the incident.

Fortunately, the car was prevented from falling into the ravine by banana plants that blocked its path. The passengers, including the minors, escaped without serious injuries.
