The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) vessel, BRP Teresa Magbanua, arrived in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, this afternoon following its pullout from Escoda Shoal in the West Philippine Sea.
According to National Maritime Council Spokesperson, retired Vice Admiral Alexander Lopez, the vessel left Escoda Shoal yesterday.
Lopez declined to disclose which Philippine ship replaced BRP Teresa Magbanua at the shoal.
The duration of repairs for the vessel, which was intentionally rammed by the China Coast Guard, remains unclear, according to Lopez.
No comment was made by Lopez regarding the possibility of the ship being redeployed to Escoda Shoal.
Earlier, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin announced that after repairs and resupply, the vessel would be redeployed to Escoda Shoal.
