The MDRRMO stated that the body was immediately buried, following the same procedure for her father, Randy Cortez, due to the state of decomposition.

Earlier, Elizabeth’s mother, Echel Cortez, was found in Kabakan, North Cotabato, the day after the landslide struck their home on the night of October 15.

The area where the landslide occurred has now been declared a “no-build zone” by authorities.
