According to information gathered by Star FM Cotabato, the victim had been missing since Saturday night after reportedly leaving home intoxicated to drink in New Cebu.

Attempts were made to stop him from leaving, but he refused and went ahead. Authorities suspect that Edi slipped, which led to him being swept away and drowning in the river.

The body, already in a state of decomposition, was found lodged against a rock, approximately 3 kilometers from the presumed location of his fall.

The remains were taken to a funeral parlor for a proper burial and to provide peace for the deceased.
