A senatorial aspirant has protested his inclusion in the Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC) list of nuisance candidates for the 2025 midterm elections.

In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Legazpi, Peter Jomel Advincula, also known as “Bikoy,” expressed surprise at his inclusion on the list, particularly since no clear explanation was given for the decision.

Advincula stated that he fully disclosed all the legal cases against him in his certificate of candidacy, some of which are still pending while others have been dismissed.

He claimed that COMELEC did not provide a formal explanation for its ruling and criticized the decision as unfair.

Advincula vowed to fight for his right to run for office, even if it means taking the case to the Supreme Court.

He argued that it should be the people, not the commission, who decide who should hold public office.

Advincula gained notoriety for his involvement in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, where he accused former President Rodrigo Duterte and his allies of being behind the illegal drug trade.

He later admitted that the videos were fabricated and claimed that opposition figures had ordered him to create them.
