Former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque was recently seen in two locations in Mindanao, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

PNP spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo confirmed that despite being spotted, Roque has evaded arrest each time authorities attempted to apprehend him.

Fajardo explained that Roque has been moving frequently, with prior sightings in Region 3 and Calabarzon before being seen in Mindanao.

Although the PNP is focusing efforts in Mindanao, Fajardo assured that the search for Roque continues nationwide.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported that Roque has not left the Philippines, confirming that he remains in the country.

The PNP warned that those aiding Roque in evading arrest will be charged with obstruction of justice.

Roque has been wanted since September 13, when the House Quad Committee cited him in contempt for refusing to submit documents explaining his sudden increase in wealth.

Roque dismissed the arrest order as “power tripping” by the committee, denying involvement in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) activities.
