Several airports in the Bicol Region have suspended operations as Super Typhoon Uwan continues to bring strong winds and heavy rains.
Authorities confirmed that flight cancellations were implemented to ensure passenger safety and prevent risks posed by severe weather conditions.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced that airports in Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Albay temporarily halted services due to the typhoon’s impact.
Airlines operating in the region also issued advisories urging passengers to monitor official announcements and coordinate for rebooking or rescheduling of flights.
The suspension is part of precautionary measures as Super Typhoon Uwan threatens widespread damage across Luzon and the Visayas.
CAAP emphasized that airport operations will resume once weather conditions improve and safety checks are completed.
