A police officer was killed after being shot by his colleague inside their station on Monday night in Bangued, Abra.
According to the Bangued Municipal Police Station, the shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the office of the Provincial Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Canine Unit (PECU) located at Casamata Hill, Zone 5, Bangued.
Initial investigation revealed that PSSg O’Neal Ryan Calica had just arrived at the office and was brushing his teeth when PLT Jamieson Bulatao, Officer-in-Charge of PECU-Abra, came out of his room, loaded his firearm, and shot Calica four times in the left side of the chest.
Bulatao then pointed his gun at another officer, PSMS Edwin Bandoc, and fired but missed. Bandoc retaliated and shot Bulatao in the chest.
