Senator Sherwin Gatchalian expressed hope that former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo would reveal her accomplices and government connections when she is brought before the Senate following her arrest in Indonesia.

Gatchalian thanked the Indonesian authorities and the National Bureau of Investigation for their swift action in apprehending Guo and her associates.

The Senator emphasized that after Guo undergoes processing by the NBI and Bureau of Immigration, she should be brought to the Senate as it is the only body with a standing warrant for her arrest.

Gatchalian insisted that Guo must be held accountable for the charges filed against her, including human trafficking, money laundering, quo warranto, and contempt of the Senate.

Gatchalian emphasized the importance of Guo facing justice in the country.

The Senate had previously issued an arrest warrant for Guo after she repeatedly failed to appear at the committee on women’s investigation into allegations linking her to Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) in her hometown of Bamban.
