Malacañang Denies Trump Snubbed Marcos at Vatican as Palace officials label circulating reports as fake news following the leaders’ brief interaction.

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro stated that based on available videos and photographs, no snub took place between the two leaders.

Castro’s statement came in response to widespread claims that Trump deliberately ignored President Marcos during their encounter.

Photos released by the Presidential Communications Office showed Trump and Marcos engaging in a brief conversation.

However, Castro admitted that the Palace has yet to confirm the exact details of the discussion between the two leaders.

She added that she would gather more information once she speaks directly with President Marcos.

Aside from the interaction with Trump, President Marcos also briefly spoke with former US President Joe Biden during the Vatican event.

President Marcos and First Lady Liza Marcos are scheduled to return to the Philippines today after attending Pope Francis’ funeral ceremonies.

Castro also mentioned that she could not confirm whether President Marcos had any other official activities while in Rome.
