The Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) has issued a statement urging Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who is currently in hiding, to surrender to authorities.

In the statement signed by Bishop Noel Pantoja, the PCEC’s national director, the group called on Quiboloy to face the accusations against him and prove his innocence rather than avoiding the law.

The council emphasized that no one is above the law and that it is crucial to address the charges through peaceful means.

Additionally, the organization appealed to the Philippine National Police (PNP) to respect human rights and enforce the law properly.

The PCEC also urged the country’s top officials to act as advocates of peace and not to exploit the situation for political or personal gain.

The PCEC comprises nearly 80 member organizations in the country and has around 200 para-churches affiliated with it. These groups collectively represent approximately 11 million members.
