The National Prosecution Service (NPS) has recommended filing charges against Shiela Guo, alleged sister of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, and Cassandra Li Ong, the purported authorized representative of the raided POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.

According to the NPS, the charges to be filed against the two include violations of Article 150 of the Revised Penal Code for Disobedience to a Summons issued by the Senate. They are also facing charges related to the use of fake passports.

It can be recalled that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed last week that Shiela Guo obtained a Philippine passport through illegal means.

During her appearance at the Senate hearing yesterday, Shiela Guo admitted that she was born in China, not in the Philippines. She also disclosed that she arrived in the country in 2001 and is currently facing a deportation case for being an undesirable and misrepresenting alien.

The NPS has also ordered the filing of charges against Cassandra Ong for her disobedience to the summons issued by the lower house of Congress.

She will also face a complaint for obstruction of justice for harboring, concealing, or facilitating the escape of a criminal offender, related to the illegal departure of Alice Guo from the country.

Additionally, the NPS recommended that the NBI file charges of falsification and that other government agencies conduct further investigations to build their cases.
