Reunited Father and Son Share Touching Story of Sacrifice

In Laoag City, Alfredo Taburada, a father who recently regained freedom after nearly five years of imprisonment, dedicates his days to his children.

Taburada revealed that he bikes his son, Johnjacob, daily to the Mariano Marcos State University – College of Teacher Education.

He shared that limited transportation options in their area compelled him to find ways to ensure his children continue their education.

Taburada emphasized that his efforts reflect a father’s love and sacrifice, vowing to do everything in his power to support his children’s dreams.

Johnjacob admitted that life without his father was challenging, especially during the years of his imprisonment.

He said that their family felt incomplete, but his father’s return brought renewed hope and strengthened their bond.

Taburada was reportedly imprisoned after being wrongfully accused of a crime he did not commit.

Their story gained attention on social media, with many praising Taburada’s dedication and perseverance in biking his son to school.

Johnjacob, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino, also serves as a CTE Bulletin journalist.
