THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed complaints with the Department of Justice (DOJ) against dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and four of her family members for falsification and violations of the Anti-Dummy Law.

NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin confirmed on Tuesday that the complaints were lodged against Guo, her parents Jiang Zhong Guo and Lin Wenyi, and siblings Shiela and Siemen Guo.

The charges stem from the acquisition of four parcels of land in Mangatarem, Pangasinan, for their 3Lin-Q Farm. According to Lavin, the family falsely claimed Filipino citizenship despite the NBI’s findings that they are Chinese nationals.

“They misrepresented themselves as Filipino citizens when the NBI was able to sufficiently establish that they are Chinese citizens,” Lavin told reporters.

The Guo family is also facing seven counts of falsification related to inaccuracies in their Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) incorporation documents.

Lavin revealed that the falsified documents include the Articles of Incorporation, the Secretary’s Certificate, and the General Information Sheet.

Further investigations revealed that the Guo family never resided in a barangay in Bulacan, as confirmed through official certifications obtained by the NBI.

Lavin added that the NBI is also exploring the possibility of filing forfeiture cases against the properties in question.
