Fishermen Find P14.6M Worth of Shabu in Zambales, Bataan Waters

More than P14.62 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered by fishermen in the waters off Zambales and neighboring Bataan.

Eight fishermen from Barangay Matain, Zambales, found two plastic bags containing 1,800 grams of shabu, valued at P12.24 million.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zambales, the illegal drugs were found floating near Lubang Island.

Additionally, a fisherman from Barangay Camaya, Mariveles, Bataan, found another plastic bag containing 350 grams of shabu, worth P2.38 million.

The recovered drugs were turned over to the PDEA offices in Zambales and Bataan and will be transferred to the PDEA national headquarters for further investigation.

PDEA Central Luzon has ordered a joint investigation by the PDEA offices in Zambales and Bataan to trace the origin of the drugs and explore any potential connection between the two incidents.
