A potential stalemate may arise if both the Senate and the House of Representatives remain inflexible regarding the funding for the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
According to Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, tensions could increase between the two chambers if a significant reduction is imposed on the OVP budget.
The House of Representatives has warned of a substantial budget cut for the OVP, possibly leaving only funds for employee salaries due to the Vice President’s absence at the OVP budget hearing.
However, Dela Rosa believes that the Senate will allocate the necessary budget for the Vice President. He indicated that he will vote in the Senate to approve the required budget for Vice President Sara.
Despite the Vice President’s statement that work could continue without a budget, Senator Dela Rosa argued that this situation would be challenging.
