The camps of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and former U.S. President Donald Trump are fully prepared for their first debate.
The debate is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Philippine time, at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
In preparation, Harris has sought advice from U.S. President Joe Biden and former First Lady Hillary Clinton, both of whom have previously debated Trump. Harris is also bracing for potential insults that may be thrown her way by Trump.
Harris’ camp believes that this debate could influence undecided voters to make their final decision.
On the other hand, Trump has stated that no formal preparation is necessary, as he has already met with senior advisers, policy experts, and allies.
Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Jason Miller, revealed some of the topics they plan to raise against Harris, including her handling of the U.S.-Mexico border, illegal immigration, the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, and the country’s weakening economy.
